Let’s talk about that weird cupboard under the sink.
You can keep your trash can there, and maybe the dish soap and a few cleaning supplies… but there’s really no room for much else.
Easy Under-Sink Storage Tips
You could be washing the dishes over wasted space. It turns out that there are a few simple solutions that can help you make the most out of that weird under-sink cupboard—and they’re completely DIY.
Under-Sink Storage Tip #1: Rolling Drawers
You can install rolling drawers (they’re great for everything from your trash can to pots and pans) on the floor of your under-the-sink cupboard. You can even fit a small appliance under there. Just a tip, though: don’t keep your trash and your pots and pans in the same cupboard.
Under-Sink Storage Tip #2: Soap, Sponges and Supplies… Oh My!
You can use a spinning tray—think Lazy Susan without permanent attachment to your shelf—to keep your soaps, sponges, and cleaning supplies easily accessible.
Under-Sink Storage Tip #3: Over-the-Door Bins and Baskets
Hanging bins can store everything from cleaning supplies to extra trash bags—and they provide you with plenty of extra storage space on the floor of the cupboard. What will you do with it? Put in labeled baskets, of course! You can also use a small, pull-out organizer with drawers if you have plenty of small stuff to store.
